  • Tarrant County Online Parenting Course (Online) | FREE |  Designed specifically for divorced, separated or co-parenting families

  • North Texas Advance Parenting Program (Dallas) | FREE | “Through the Parenting Education program, parents transform their homes into lifelong learning laboratories and become their child’s first teachers starting from birth.” 

  • Parents As Teachers (Ford Worth) | FREE for FISD families | “Parents as Teachers is an evidence-based, home visiting model and parent education and support program that partners with parents to help ensure their children are healthy and ready to succeed in school and life.”

  • New Day Services “Fatherhood Effect” (Fort Worth) | FREE | “Helps fathers gain confidence  by identifying personal and systemic barriers to their quality/quantity of parenting, economic stability, healthy relationships and community connections

  • The Parenting Center (Fort Worth & Arlington) | $20-30 | Classes Titles include: Parenting Styles, Birth Order, Building Self Esteem, Improving Communication, Developing Responsible Children, Positive Discipline, Making Rules & Enforcing Consequences, Kids First, Coparenting Essentials.

  • The Parenting Center (Fort Worth & Bedford) | FREE | Workshop Titles Include: Helping Children Handle Their Feelings, Parenting the Strong-Willed Child, Taming Your Toddler, Communicating with Your Teen (The Parenting Center also has a FREE Parenting Advice Line theparentingcenter.org/PAL or 817-332-6399)

  • Positive Parenting Training Institute (Fort Worth/Online) | $45-55 | Focused for Divorced families. (can be court-ordered but available for public use as well)  “James Baker’s Positive Parenting 101 is the ultimate guidebook providing key strategies and tools to help you and your child throughout the journey. Each lesson will make you a stronger and more resourceful parent and your child will better adjust to their new environment with empowering beliefs and emotions to serve them throughout their lifetime."

  • Early Childhood Matters Classes (Fort Worth) | FREE | Helps families learn how to develop their children's social, emotional and pre-literacy skills so that they are successful when entering kindergarten. Programs are designed for parents and other adults who care for children from birth to five years old. Services include sessions for adults, a lending library for adults and children, consultation with early childhood specialists.

  • Nurse Family Partnership (Tarrant County & Dallas County) | FREE | “Nurse-Family Partnership is a program for women who are having their first baby. If you enroll, a registered nurse will visit you in your home throughout pregnancy and continue to visit until your baby is 2 years old.”

  • UNT Parent Education Courses (Denton) | Price Unkown | “The Child and Family Resource Clinic offers on-going parent education classes”

  • FamilyCare Connections (Dallas) | Price Unknown | Class Titles Incoude: Baby Academy, Success for Life, 24/7 Dad, Circle of Healing, Legacy (Grandparents Raising Children), Footprints

  • Parent Training- Equine Connection Counseling (Fort Worth) | Unknown | “Based on the Child-Parent Relationship Training (CPRT) model, the primary goal of EAPT is to strengthen the parent-child relationship while also providing you with strategies to better understand your child and meet his or her unique needs. “

  • Bright By Three (Online) | FREE | “Families can sign up to receive parenting tips, games and information sent right to their cell phones 2-5 times a week with Bright by Text. Families can also receive visits from local partners and get our “Games to Grow” tip cards. Coming soon, parents and caregivers will be able to access our new and improved parent handbooks online.”
